The museum is owned and operated by the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, maker of such well known guitars as the Stratocaster and the Telecaster. A few months ago I helped a collector acquire the #2 Fender Custom Shop Harley-Davidson Stratocaster and then arranged to have him loan it to the Fender Museum for display. I live in a small village outside of Porto, or Oporto as it's also known, in northern Portugal. Across the street from where I live is a 'tasco', which is a family run informal and unofficial café.
